IR Surveillance Cameras – Clear Surveillance Even in the Dark

Is Your Home at Risk of Burglary? – Find Out How IR Cameras Can Help!

The answer is, yes. Your home is at risk of burglary. That is a plain fact in the United States and most places around the world. It’s an unavoidable and scary truth that no homeowner can avoid. Studies show time and time again that having a security camera system on your property reduces crime. If your home is equipped with a camera system you are 3x less likely to experience a break in. Those numbers are staggering, and it’s time to see exactly what IR surveillance cameras bring to your home.

IR Surveillance Cameras

Our previous blog on night-vision cameras covered some of our top options in 3 different categories of nighttime surveillance coverage: standard black and white, color and EXIR enhanced night vision. All of these IR camera options are great with several different models and systems best representing their capabilities.

Quick Review – What are IR Surveillance Cameras?

IR cameras use infrared light technology to provide you a view of your property in ambient light to extreme low light conditions. In many cases, they are even capable of illuminating your field of view in almost total darkness.

To provide a simple description for practical purposes, the cameras’ IR LEDs switch on when lighting conditions become too dark for the cameras default lens sensor to see. When those LEDs switch on, they cover the area in infrared light. This is completely invisible to the human eye. From there, the IR sensors are able to enhance the lens to view the images, transmitted after being bathed in infrared light.

Think about the advantage that brings to you as a property owner. When others can’t see due to the cover of night, friend or trespasser, you’ll have a perfectly clear view of them. That means if you have IR surveillance cameras on the exterior of your home, you will be able to see who approaches and decide whether to open the door or call the police (or anything in between).

Updated IR Security Cameras

Recently, LaView has added some exciting new IR security cameras and systems that bring you more high-quality viewing and professional features than ever before! Here’s the update to our IR surveillance cameras.

IR Night Vision Surveillance

HD Analog IR Cameras

Our HD analog line has seen some significant updates over the years. It is our tried-and-true, oldest technology when it comes to setup and data transmission. That doesn’t mean the product line lacks in quality or customizable features.

Most notably, these updates have come in the form of new night vision features!

In the previous blog, we detailed the advantages of HD 5MP color night vision. It was our first comprehensive security camera system to feature full color. This HD color night vision option revolutionized the way we look at nighttime surveillance coverage, providing more detail than ever before. This kit is still an amazing option, but we have recently brought in an upgrade if you are trying to gain more detail with color night vision:

Ultra HD 4K Starlight Color Night Vision System

The Ultra HD 4K Starlight Color Night Vision System is an HD analog system that features fully optimized IR security cameras. The bullet cameras in question provide you the highest-level resolution on the market with stunning detail. As they transition into night, the magic really happens.

This system has the strongest Starlight Color Night Vision available in any of our products. The cameras can see in full color, up to 100ft at night. That’s extended from 65ft with its predecessor, the HD 5MP kit. This long-distance color dark adaption coverage will ensure that you see all the details on the far reaches of your property even in extreme low-light conditions!

Thermal IR Surveillance Cameras

Recently, we have added thermal cameras to our product lines. We’ve found that their thermal detection technology helps improve their motion detection settings. Making the cameras capable of distinguishing between the movement of humans/animals and inanimate objects has proven to reduce false alarms in regard to motion events. When you combine IR cameras with thermal detection technology, you get a layered security system that will bring you peace of mind, day and night.

Ultra HD 4K Thermal IR Cameras System

Once again, we have top quality viewing with an Ultra HD 4k resolution system. There really isn’t any competition to the clarity you will gain with these bullet IP cameras. They show more detail in both the foreground and the background of your capture image. Choosing these is the best way to guarantee you have all the detail you could ever want and need.

Their thermal detection PIR sensor, scans the area in a 115° wide zone. Along with that, you will be alerted to any movement that gives off a significant heat signal within that zone. That plus the 100ft traditional IR dark adaption makes these cameras a cut above the rest.

ONE Halo HD 3MP Doorbell Camera

The ONE Halo is LaView’s next generation doorbell camera. It upgrades your front door viewing experience in every way. It features HD 3MP resolution – the market’s leading image quality, as well as PIR thermal detection. These are more layers of detail and security you need at your front door. This is the only doorbell camera in the industry with a PIR sensor.

Two Way Audio Doorbell Camera

To ensure your safety at night, this doorbell security camera is equipped with Starlight Full Color Night Vision. Like our 4K analog system, this doorbell camera grants you full-color visual access to your entryway even at night. So, not only are you gaining a better viewing experience during the day compared to the average doorbell camera (1080P vs HD 3MP resolution), you are also gaining premium coverage at night. This is particularly important as your front entrance should be a top priority for high-definition surveillance coverage.

IR Security Cameras with Crime Deterring Features

Sometimes you need a little more then just the presence of security cameras to deter crime. We understand the importance of having something on your property that is going to promote safety and accountability, day and night. That’s why we have equipped some of our IR security cameras with crime-deterring capabilities that will keep you and your family safe and sound.

Ultra HD 4K Strobe Light IR Surveillance Cameras System

This Ultra HD 4K Strobe Light System takes the benefits of the earlier-mentioned 4K thermal camera system and combines the crime deterrence of strobe light bullet cameras. The ultra-bright strobe LEDs flash on an off rapidly to disorient intruders and call attention to the scene when thermal motion events occur in these cameras’ fields of view .

ONE Nova Floodlight Camera

This WiFi floodlight camera takes the above concept a few steps further. It features exceptional IR dark adaption as well as LED floodlights that completely illuminate the area around it upon motion. This uses a 270° PIR thermal sensor. Along with that, the camera is armed with a 100db siren that will further frighten and ward off trespassers.
